Location. The InterContinental London is located in the centre of London, England on Park Lane, overlooking Hyde Park. It is within one mile of Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. Hyde Park Corner tube station is adjacent to the hotel and Victoria train station is 1.5 miles away.
Hotel Features. This modern, air conditioned hotel opens to a 24 hour front desk with safe deposit box, and a grocery shop, gift shop, and florist. The multilingual staff can assist with a range of services including currency exchange, babysitting, and 24 hour room service. The onsite health club, renovated in 2007, is open 24 hours a day and offers use of cardiovascular equipment and free weights. Secure and valet parking is available for a surcharge.

The InterContinental London Park Lane houses three restaurants and two bars. The Cookbook Caf� and Lobby Lounge serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in relaxed, informal surroundings, and Theo Randall at the InterContinental offers lunch and dinner, including dishes such as Fresh Devon Crab with Aioli, Bruschetta, and Mixed Leaves.

Expert Tip. Two miles from the hotel, the London Eye offers views of London for up to 25 miles in each direction. Opened in 2000, the structure stands at 135 metres, and has 32 capsules. A full rotation takes approximately 30 minutes.

From Heathrow Airport (LHR):
Distance to InterContinental London is 16 miles, approximately 45 minutes drive.

Getting there. The Heathrow Express train is the quickest way into London. It departs from the airport every 15 minutes, and takes 15 minutes to reach Paddington Station in central London. The journey is non stop and costs 14.50 GBP. Paddington is on the Hammersmith and City, District and Circle, and Bakerloo lines of Londons Underground (Tube). Additionally, the airport is on the Piccadilly line of the Underground, which runs directly to Hyde Park Corner, which is adjacent to the hotel. The journey to central London takes approximately one hour, and trains depart every 10 minutes. A one day travel pass costs 6.30 GBP, including travel to Heathrow (in zone 6). Black taxis cost approximately 50 GBP to the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground. Black taxis are available on the streets, but can be expensive. Driving is not recommended for visitors and a congestion charge zone is operated in central London.

Driving directions. From the airport, take exit M4 West, which runs into central London to Cromwell Road.
Proceed past Harrods on the right and the hotel is located on the corner of Park Lane and Piccadilly, 16 miles from the airport.
