Location. The Lajitas Resort and Spa is located in Lajitas, Texas. The hotel is five miles from Big Bend National Park. The Rio Grande is one mile away.
Hotel Features. Located within a 25,000 acre private estate, the hotel offers a variety of activities. The 18 hole Ambush Golf Course features four holes on an island in the Rio Grande. The golf course also includes a practice area with a chipping green and a putting green. Red Rock Outfitters offers guided outdoor activities. Horseback trail rides by the hour go up Comanche Creek and around Mesa de Anguila and offer views of Mexico. For a more genuine cowboy experience, complete with outhouses and a bonfire lunch, guests can join the equestrian team for a six hour ride to the Buena Suerte mine and ghost town. Guests may also take advantage of the scenic views by bicycle, either alone or on a guided tour. The Lajitas Hunt Club offers blue quail and dove hunting options, or skeet or cowboy action shooting. The Agavita Spa includes three massage rooms, a facial room and a salon. Most spa treatments include native extracts such as agave, Rio Grande mud and stones from the Big Bend area. Dining options include the Ocotillo and the Candelilla Caf�.
