Location. Located on a calm bay in the Gulf of Papagayo in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, the Hilton Papagayo Resort Costa Rica stands near Curu National Wildlife Refuge and Las Baulas National Marine Park, where the largest colony of Pacific Ocean leatherback turtles nest.
Hotel Features. Eight on site restaurants and bars serve fare that ranges from Costa Rican cuisine to theme buffets and spa cuisine. Fax and photocopy services are offered at the front desk, and high speed Internet access is available in public areas for a fee. Recreational amenities include two outdoor pools and a fitness center with a sauna, exercise equipment and a spa tub. A lighted tennis court provides night play, and a spa offers massage and beauty services. Activities such as aerobics classes, dance lessons, biking and billiards are offered on site. Non motorized water sports are complimentary, and fishing, motorized water craft and water skiing are available for a fee. Children have the opportunity to participate in supervised activities through the on site youth program.
Guestrooms. This resort features 202 guestrooms including two room bungalows that are decorated in neutral tones with dark wood and wicker furnishings, and polished stone floors. All rooms are air conditioned and feature ceiling fans, satellite television, safe deposit boxes and minibars. Bathrooms include bathtubs and showers.
Expert Tip. An on site diving company offers excursions to Catalina Island, which is home to moray eels, sea turtles, white tip sharks and giant manta rays. Impressive bull sharks may be found during Bat Island dives. Night dives and PADI certified courses are available. All rooms are smoke free.

Starting December 1, 2008 this hotel will no longer be an All Inclusive resort. The hotel will convert to a normal plan hotel. Complimentary meals, snacks, beverages, and nightly entertainment will no longer be included in the room rates starting October 31, 2008.
