Driving Directions:
From Heraklion Airport (HER):
Distance to Kosta Mare Palace Hotel is 22 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes drive.

Getting there. Buses and taxis wait in front of the airport terminal building. Buses 1 and 78 run to Heraklion city centre, stopping by the Archaeological Museum. Journey time is about 20 minutes, and the fare for a single ticket is under 1 EUR. Taxi fares to the city centre should be about 8 EUR, and the fare should be negotiated prior to travelling. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Overlooking Anissara beach, Kosta Mare Palace Hotel is four kilometres from central Hersonissos. Buses are inexpensive and depart frequently for destinations throughout the island. Cretes bus company KTEL connects to the larger cities and more remote areas. Many of the villages can be accessed by boat taxis and small ferries. Taxis wait at ranks around Heraklion city centre. Fares are reasonable but travellers should ensure the meter is used. Crete is probably best explored by car. There is complimentary parking on site.

Driving directions. From the airport, take the new National Road towards Agios Nikolaos.
After 15 kilometres, exit for Kato Gouves.
Follow the road round to the right onto the old National Road and drive past Kato Gouves and Analipsi.
After one kilometre, turn left onto the road that runs parallel to the main road.
After 800 metres, turn left again.
Follow the road until you reach the Kosta Mare Palace Hotel; the car park is located on the left hand side.
