Driving Directions:
Getting there. The Heathrow Express train takes 15 minutes non stop from the airport to Paddington Station in the centre of London. Trains leave every 15 minutes and the standard single fare is 14.50 GBP. The airport is also on the Undergrounds Piccadilly Line which runs directly central underground stations. A one day travel card, including travel to Heathrow costs 6.30 GBP. Black taxi cabs wait outside each terminal, and typically cost around 50 GBP to central London. The easiest way to get around London is by using the Underground (Tube) or bus services. Single cash tickets are expensive and an electronic Oyster card is recommended (available from ticket offices for a refundable deposit of 3 GBP). Londons black taxis can be hailed in the street. There is a congestion charge zone for cars in central London, and driving is not recommended to visitors. All prices subject to change.
