Location. Zimbali Playa Spa Hotel is located in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, overlooking the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. The fishing village of Garrucha is four kilometres away, and the town of Mojacar is 12 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. This four storey hotel complex with modern Spanish architecture features an outdoor swimming pool with slides, a hot tub, and a sun terrace. Beauty services are available and there is hair salon. Evening entertainment is provided for adults, and there is Internet access in the public areas.
There are three dining options on site. Mbali serves local and international dishes from an extensive buffet, and features a terrace for al fresco dining. There is a baby corner with a microwave and refrigerator for baby food. The Hotel Zimbali Playa Restaurant, set by the swimming pool, serves an a la carte menu. Elangeni, a beach club restaurant open in high season, serves fish, paella, and salads. The all inclusive rate incorporates breakfast, tapas snacks at lunchtime, dinner, and soft drinks, beer, and wine. The half board rate includes breakfast and dinner.
There is an onsite games area offering archery, miniature golf, and rifle shooting. There is a kids club and a teen club, both operating during high season. Bicyles can be rented on site.
Guestrooms. The 241 air conditioned guestrooms have modern decor and furnishings, and extend to balconies. All include satellite television, direct dial phones, safes, minibars, and hair dryers. All inclusive and a half board rates are available.
Expert Tip. Although it is now popular with tourists, the village of Garrucha, four kilometres from the hotel, retains much of its quaint charm. Look out for the red prawns which are caught in the local waters.
