Location. The Nita Lake Lodge is located in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, along the shoreline of Nita Lake. Adjacent to Jordan Creek and the Whistler Mountaineer train station, the lodge is one half kilometer from Whistler Creekside Village and gondola. Whistler Village Commons shops and Skiers Plazas gondolas are less than six kilometers away.
Features. Exposed wood posts and beams accentuate the lobby of the Nita Lake Lodge, a four story condominium resort. Its floor to ceiling windows affords natural light. Seating areas dot the lobby, including one conversation area in front of the rock fireplace. A restaurant, delicatessen and lounge are next to the lobby. Jordans Crossing Dining Room specializes in traditional French dinner entrees; and JCs Deli offers specialized coffees, baked goods and sandwiches. Late night entrees and beverages are available at Jordans Lounge, which features a fireplace and sitting area furnished with wingback chairs. Outside the lodge, a heated plunge pool is available year round. Other amenities include local transportation and complimentary wireless Internet access in the lounge area.
Guestrooms. The Nita Lake Lodge contains 77 condominiums with mountain, village and lake views. All accommodations offer 4240 inch, flat screen televisions mounted above gas fireplaces. Bathrooms are equipped with bathrobes, soaker tubs and walk in rain showers lined with slate stone. Other amenities include CD players and complimentary high speed Internet access.
Expert Tip.The 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Vancouver and Whistler, where sledding and skiing events will be held. Tying these two cities together is the Whistler Mountaineer train system, which operates a station at Nita Lake Lodge. The Mountaineer will provide service between these two sports venues throughout the games.
