Location. The Maxima Slavia is located on a major arterial road, 12 kilometres north of central Moscow, Russia. The VDNH and Botanichesky Sad metro stations and the VVC (All Russian Exhibition Centre) are all within four kilometres.
Hotel Features. The nine storey Maxima Slavia is a contemporary business hotel located in Moscows northerly suburbs, and offers views of Losiny Island park. The air conditioned interior features a 24 hour reception desk offering concierge services. The lobby features complimentary newspapers, a television and wireless Internet access (surcharge). Other amenities include a sauna, an ATM and a billiards table.

The upper level Slavia restaurant serves a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning. The restaurant also offers a three course set business lunch and an a la carte dinner menu with European dishes and Russian specialities. The informal lobby bar serves snacks and drinks.

All rooms offer televisions with Internet access and satellite channels, high speed data ports and minibars. Studios and suites feature flat screen televisions and complimentary slippers.

Expert Tip. The Space Obelisk, sited by VDNK metro station, celebrates Yuri Gagarins historic 1961 journey into orbit in Vostock 1. Beneath the 100 metre rocket replica, the Space Museum commemorates Belka and Strelka, the famous space dogs who survived their epic journey.

Distance to the Maxima Slavia Hotel is 34 kilometres, approximately 75 minutes drive.

Getting there. Visitors are advised to organise taxis from an official counter in the arrivals hall, rather than hailing taxis from outside the terminal. Fares to destinations in the city are fixed, and the fare to the hotel costs approximately 1,500 RUB (50 USD). 24 hour buses run regularly between Terminals 1 and 2 and central Moscow. The fare is about 25 RUB (1 USD) for a single ticket. To reach the Maxima Slavia by public transport, take bus number 851 to the Rechnoy Vokzal metro. Take a train to Belorusskaya station, then transfer to the circle line and take the train heading for Prospekt Mira. Alight at VDNH station and take the right hand exit. A hotel shuttle calls at the VDNH bus stop every 90 minutes. Alternatively, from the nearby bus stop, buses 136, 172, 244 or trolleybus 76 run to the Shkola bus stop. From this stop, walk straight ahead and take the second turn on the right. Journey time from the airport by public transport is about an hour. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around: Moscow has an efficient and inexpensive underground metro system, and most places are a short walk from a station. Buses, trams and trolleybuses are also available. Tickets can be purchased in advance from metro stations and kiosks. Registered taxis are available at train stations and ranks around the city, and can be booked in advance. The fare should be agreed prior to departure.
